Notice to Westfall Township Residents
Please be advised that the Westfall Township Supervisors will conduct a Hearing on the proposed adoption of an Ordinance of Westfall Township vacating a portion of Willow Avenue on Monday, May 5, 2025, at 6:30 P.M. at the Westfall Township Municipal Building located at 102 LaBarr Lane, Matamoras, PA 18336. All interested Township Residents are invited to attend and comment on the proposed Ordinance Adoption. The full text of the proposed Ordinance is available for inspection at the Township Municipal Building during normal business hours, the Township website, at the Pocono Record, at the Pike County Dispatch, and a copy shall be provided if requested for a nominal fee.

HELP WANTED WESTFALL TOWNSHIP
The Westfall Township Supervisors are accepting applications for Experienced Part Time Snowplow Drivers, on an as needed basis, to perform duties of snow removal as required to assist the Westfall Township Highway Department. Applicants must possess a valid commercial driver’s license and be available to work all shifts. Applicants will undergo a background check, driver’s history check, and drug/alcohol test prior to employment. The pay rate is set at $25.00 per hour. Help Wanted: Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT’S)
Westfall Township has part-time Emergency Medical Technician employee positions available. The EMT is trained in all basic life support (BLS) level skills, including defibrillation and limited medication administration. The EMT follows the written PA BLS Protocols.
The job will consist of:
Responsibilities for EMT
- Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
- Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment
- Document patient information, condition, and treatment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
- Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies, procedures and protocols
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked ambulance for patients
- Operate and drive ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws
- Provide basic life support and gather patient data
- Station and vehicle cleaning duties
- Equipment and supply inventory
- Report to and work in all weather conditions
- 12-hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, holidays
Qualifications for EMT
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Current and maintain Pennsylvania EMT certification/license
- Current and maintain CPR certification
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, EVOC certification
- 1 year of experience in an emergency care setting preferred
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies, procedures and protocols
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
- NIMS – 100, 200, 700, 800 and PA Haz Mat awareness within 90 Days
Experience is preferred, and the pay rate will be commensurate with experience. Part-time employees receive a clothing and boot allowance, and shift differential. Applicants must be at least 18 yrs. of age. Applicants will undergo an oral interview and physical ability test during the selection process. Background check, driver’s license history check, and drug/alcohol test are required prior to employment. Westfall Township is an equal opportunity employer.
